Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) is a lightweight, durable panel made from two aluminium sheets bonded to a polyethylene core. It offers excellent weather resistance, rigidity, and ease of fabrication, making it ideal for signage, cladding, and architectural applications. ACM is available in various finishes and colours, providing a sleek and modern look for both indoor and outdoor use. Also known as ACP (Aluminium Composite Panel), as well as by its many trade names (Signbond, Dibond, Alucosign etc)
Although our suppliers vary, the product is generally 0.3mm aluminium skins on either side of the core. (Note: Not all ACM is equal. Be cautious of ultra-thin options down to 0.08mm, which are designed for light indoor use only.) The paint is generally polyester (PE) or fluoroethylene vinyl ether (FEVE), with the FEVE being the superior.
We stock fabrication grade and we can source and cut a building/cladding grade product (Alpolic).
The Alpolic is suited to buildings due to it’s non-combustible core.
